Welcome to The Carmen Rose, Traditional English Tearooms. But much much more than just a tearoom!

Welcome to The Carmen Rose now UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT.

We, Pam and George, are delighted to be the new owners of The Carmen Rose and look forward to welcoming customers old and new to our Tea Rooms. We have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to refurbish the interior, change the layout and spruce up the garden. The result has drawn very favourable comments from all our guests. Further improvements are planned in the coming weeks and months including a new gents toilet.

In addition there is a new menu offering Breakfasts, Salads, Snacks, Ice Creams, Teas & Coffees, Cakes, Afternoon Teas and Cream Teas.

Along with the new  menu there are new opening times. We are now open from 9 am to 5 pm, Seven Days a Week.

The garden is pretty as a post card and a lovely place to chat, sip coffee and enjoy a snack. Step inside and relax on the new sofa or make use of the new WiFi connection. The gift shop remains upstairs offering a wide variety of fascinating and affordable gifts.

The Carmen Rose is set in an old ivy covered barn in the beautiful and historic village of Ribchester.

The Carmen Rose welcome walkers with muddy boots and cyclists with muddy backs! Relax and indulge yourself in our unique ambiance - complete with a roaring log fire in the winter or sunny garden in the summer. Enjoy the delicious food and beverages, all sourced locally here in The Ribble Valley.

And if that isn’t enough you can then while some time away browsing in our amazing gift shop upstairs with everything for you, your home, family, friends and relations, or spoil yourself with our tempting selection from our appetising menu.

Then you can enjoy a stroll around Ribchester which is widely known for its Roman ancestors and is set in the picturesque Ribble Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the border of the famous Trough of Bowland. The village boasts two ancient Churches, a Roman Museum, the remains of the old Roman Baths, and wonderful walks along the river.

The Carmen Rose is open seven days a week from 9.00am - 5pm
