Held at Ribchester Parochial Church Hall on Oct 25th this was an incredible night. Forget Strictly Come Dancing. Ribchester was entertained by the incredibly talented and successful European Salsa Dance Champions Phil Kaila and Leah Pritchard. Phil got everyone straight on the dance floor to teach the novices a few basic steps. Within 20 minutes the whole room was alive with Salsa dancers.
Leah then joined Phil on the dancefloor to demonstrate some of their award-winning routines. And they also brought along fellow dancers to give even more of a show.
Wow what a night.

What a great night.
The Carmen Rose hosted it's first ever outdoor concert featuring two live bands. While the bands took their turns on the stage - patio! - the audience sat on the lawn enjoying their very own party in the garden. Who needs Party in the Park!
An on-going BBQ run by Carl meant sure everyone was well fed and we also had our first ever licensed bar.
Even the weather was kind - just a couple of downpours. But thanks to a couple of marquees and a few sun parasols it meant only the poor drummers got wet!
Local group The Crown Top Kings were first on the patio and delighted everyone with a mix of Western, Country, Rockabilly and 1940s swing. Sadly singer/guitarist Haley Edmunds let us down at the last minute so our very own Will Thomas stepped into the breach and bravely took to the patio. One of Manchester's brightest new hopes "The News" then took centre patio. Having recently won the Manchester Battle of the Bands contest I'm not sure who was more surprised - the four lads fresh from gigs in Manchester coming to a traditional English tea room to play live in the garden - or Ribchester! But the evening was a huge success and enjoyed by all.
